Ashgrove & Co.

A House of Remarkable Makers

Across the world, remarkable makers work within traditions shaped by place, material and knowledge passed from generation to generation.

Ashgrove & Co. seeks them out, exploring the origins, materials and traditions behind remarkable work.

A discovery may begin with the grain and finish of Italian leather, the character of Japanese paper, the luminosity held within a stone, or a detail of workmanship that invites a closer look.

Curiosity opens the door.

In an Italian bottega, the scent of leather fills the workshop while hand-decorated papers bring light and color to the bookbinder’s bench. Here, leather and paper are shaped by techniques refined across generations.

Across to Japan, paper, texture, folding and presentation reveal an extraordinary world of precision, restraint and artistry.

Then Turkey, where fire, glass, color and centuries of symbolism meet in the Nazar, a small talisman carrying wishes of protection and good fortune.

The earth offers its own discoveries—quartz, crystal and mineral alive with color, clarity, form and light.

One discovery leads into another: an unfamiliar technique reveals an artisan; a material leads back to its place of origin; a flash of color opens a new direction. Unexpected finds carry Ashgrove into traditions and places we hadn’t thought to explore.

Each collection becomes another door.

Come wander a little farther with us, following the paths that lead into workshops, traditions and places shaped by artistry, heritage, color, light, texture and the unmistakable hand of the artisan.

A Founder’s Note

Welcome to Ashgrove.

My favorite part of this adventure is discovering remarkable artisans from around the world and experiencing their work.

Behind every find is a world to explore—the maker, the craft, the materials, the traditions, and the story of how it came to be.

Come wander with me and see where the journey leads.
